The Challenge:
CITIC Pacific Mining's SINO iron ore project in Australia utilizes large ThyssenKrupp gyratory crushers 63" x 89". The Challenge:
China Gold Group's Inner Mongolia Taiping Mining Co. Ltd.'s core crushing plant relied on over a dozen Metso HP800 cone crushers as the backbone of its production line. Ensuring the timeliness, cost-effectiveness of spare parts supply, and overall equipment stability under continuous high-volume operation was critical. The customer needed to find a supplier capable of providing 100% compatible, interchangeable parts and complete machines with reliable quality and stable long-term supply, to reduce dependency on the OEM and control maintenance costs.


The Jinyang Solution:
Jinyang first engaged deeply as a spare parts supplier, providing replacement components for major cast steel parts like the main frame, adjustment ring, and head assembly. Jiangxi Copper Corporation: The Definitive Field Trial - Jinyang JY500 vs. Metso HP500


The Challenge:
As China's largest copper producer, Jiangxi Copper Corporation (JCC)'s Dexing Copper Mine relied heavily on imported high-end cone crushers (such as the Metso HP series) for critical secondary and tertiary crushing. Facing challenges like long lead times for spare parts, high costs, and dependency on a single supplier, JCC urgently needed to validate the reliability of a domestically produced, high-end alternative to break the monopoly, optimize its supply chain, and reduce total lifecycle costs.


The Jinyang Solution:
In 2015, JCC initiated a bold "head-to-head" field test at its Sizhou Concentrator. A Jinyang JY500 cone crusher was installed side-by-side with an existing Metso HP500, operating under identical feed material, working conditions, and production schedules for a full year of continuous operation. Data-Driven Results:
The year-long comparative data eliminated all doubts, proving the JY500 not only matched but exceeded the international benchmark in key metrics:

  • Performance Parity: The JY500 consistently met and exceeded the contracted throughput of 400 t/h, achieving an average of approximately 531 t/h. Its product size distribution (%-10mm content) was identical to the HP500.

JY500 liner life reached 850-900 hours, a significant improvement over the HP500's approximately 700 hours, representing a more than 20% increase.

  • Quantified Economic Benefit: Based on the extended liner life, competitive initial investment, and lower maintenance costs, JCC calculated that the JY500 delivered total lifecycle cost savings of approximately RMB 4 million.
