Jinyang Makes History with Fully Domesticated Cone Crusher, Redefining Industry Standards

HENGYANG, China – March 2014 – In a landmark achievement for China's heavy machinery sector, Hengyang Jinyang Metallurgical Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. announced the successful development and commissioning of the JY500, China's first entirely domestically manufactured cone crusher. This breakthrough, culminating in early 2014, concluded a multi-year R&D initiative aimed at overcoming long-standing dependencies on imported core technology for high-end mineral processing.

The JY500, a product of relentless innovation since its conceptual stages in the late 2000s, is not merely a replica but an innovative redesign featuring optimized cavity profiles and a robust hydraulic adjustment system. Engineered to handle the toughest ores, it offers capacities comparable to leading international models. This 2014 milestone signifies a strategic leap in China's industrial self-reliance, promising reduced lead times, lower capital costs for domestic mines, and enhanced supply chain security.

"Mastering the complete design and manufacturing process of such a critical piece of equipment is a testament to our engineering team's perseverance and skill," stated a company spokesperson in the spring of 2014. "The JY500 provides our clients with a high-performance, locally supported alternative without compromise." The crusher entered serial production by mid-2014, poised to serve mining operations across the country.
